Orient Corporation (Orico) to open site to accept Japanese applications in May

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: The Japanese credit card issuer Orient Corporation, or Orico, has posted a web page that indicates plans to release a Lucky Star credit card in Japan. The full website for the project, as inspired by Kagami Yoshimizu's slice-of-life comedy manga and anime, is slated to open in the middle of May to accept applications. Other anime and manga franchises that have inspired credit cards include Astro Boy, Gundam, and Macross.

Bandai Entertainment and Kadokawa Pictures USA released Kyoto Animation's anime adaptation of Lucky Star in North America, and Bandai Entertainment plans to release the manga.
