2 Evangelion: 2.0 Film Teasers Streamed by Yahoo! Site (Update 2)

The Yahoo! Japan website has begun streaming two teaser trailers for Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, the second of Hideaki Anno and Khara's four theatrical remakes of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion television anime series, on Thursday. One teaser trailer (trailer on the right in the linked page) is the same one that already ran in Japanese theaters and on the official Evangelion website, but it has no apparent geographical restrictions on Yahoo! Japan's website. The second trailer (trailer on the left in the linked page) is a "Yahoo! Japan special version."
The Yahoo! Japan website also began streaming the Yoshimoto version of the original television series' opening sequence as part of its "Eva Live-Action Drama Adaptation Project." The Yoshimoto Gekijō troupe reenacts the opening and other sequences from the anime; the other scenes are available to Yoshimoto Mi-Hōdai Club members only. As a part of its April Fool's Day celebration, Yahoo! held a poll on who fans want to play the Evangelion characters in BROSTA TV's live-action drama, but the results are not binding.
Evangelion: 2.0 You Can [Not] Advance will open in Japan on June 27. Funimation announced on New Year's Eve that it will release the first film in the remake, Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, in North America this year. ADV Films released the original television series, while Manga Entertainment released the two 1997 films. Viz Media, ADV Manga, and Dark Horse Comics have all released or will release the manga versions of Evangelion.
