Evangelion: 2.0's Evangelion Unit-05 Design Confirmed (Update 2)

The June issue of World Photo Press' Figure Oh magazine will officially confirm on Friday the designs of the Evangelion Unit-02, Unit-3, and Provisional Unit-05 (pictured at right) weapons that will appear in Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. This film is the second of Hideaki Anno and Khara's four theatrical remakes of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion science-fiction television anime series. Kaiyodo will release action figure of all these units and the protagonist Shinji's Evangelion Unit-01 in its Revoltech toy line on June 15. Evangelion: 2.0 You Can [Not] Advance will open in Japan on June 27.
Update: The June issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine will also publish the color designs for the Evangelion Provisional Unit-05, Mari Illustrious Makinami, and (the renamed) Asuka Langley Shikinami this week.
Update 2: Kaiyodo's official website briefly listed the "new heroine Mari" as the pilot of the Evangelion Provisional Unit-05, but that information has since been removed.
