Sekai no Mago Manga Creator Sabe Passes Away at 41

The official website of the Japanese publisher Wanimagazine has announced on Friday that Sekai no Mago (Grandchild in the world -AMAMI-) manga creator SABE passed away on January 28. He was 41. To respect the wishes of his family, Wanimagazine withheld the public announcement until now. Wani Magazine is announcing his passing due to the planned publication of a memorial edition book. The publisher's website will reveal more details of the memorial edition when they are set in stone.
SABE was married to fellow manga creator Q-ta Minami, and they had a child before divorcing. Minami had written in her essay manga in Shueisha's You magazine in May that "word of my former husband's passing came from my former mother-in-law."
SABE's work appeared in Monthly Afternoon, robot, and Gelatin magazines. The inaugural issue of Gelatin shipped just seven days after his passing.
