Live-Action Shin Oishinbo Gets Third Episode This Year

TOKIO band member Masahiro Matsuoka wil reprise his starring role in a new third episode of the manga-based Shin Oishinbo television drama series by the end of this year. Shin Oishinbo 3 -Yuzan Kaibara vs. Kyukyoku Shichinin no Samurai! is based on Tetsu Kariya and Akira Hanasaki's manga about a culinary critic's life. The first two episodes ran in January and November of 2007. Viz Media just began publishing the acclaimed manga in North America in January. In Japan, the Shinei Animation studio adapted the manga into a 1988-1992 television series and two specials in 1992 and 1993.
