Japan's Animation TV Ranking, July 27-August 2

Kiki's, Kitarō, Kochikame, Kamen Rider land on top 10 lists
A repeat of Hayao Miyazaki's Kiki's Delivery Service film garnered a 13.7 rating when it aired on Friday, July 31 at 9:00 p.m. The two live-action film adaptations of Shigeru Mizuki's Gegege no Kitarō supernatural manga, Kitaro and Kitaro and the Millennium Curse, ran on July 31 and August 1 at 9:00 p.m. and earned 11.4 and 13.6 ratings, respectively. The live-action television drama adaptation of Osamu Akimoto's Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo police comedy manga premiered on August 1 at 7:56 p.m. Despite the SMAP band member Shingo Katori playing the lead, it had a relatively low rating of 12.2. Kamen Rider SP aired on August 2 at 3:30 p.m with a 4.6 rating.
