Japanese Animation DVD Ranking, September 7-13

Aya Hirano Music Clip Collection Vol. 1 debuted at #7 with 4,685 copies sold. The standard edition DVD for Yukihiko Tsutsumi's second live-action film based on Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys suspense manga dropped from #1 to #9 in its third week. It sold 4,153 copies to add to its total of 47,750. The standard edition for comedian Hiroshi Shinagawa's live-action film adaptation of his own semi-autobiographical Drop novel fell from #2 to #10. It sold 4,026 more copies for a cumulative total of 49,332. The first DVD-Box for the Korean live-action television drama version of Yōko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers manga slipped from #23 to #28. It sold 1,611 more copies for a total of 9,641.
The 2002 film Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi wo Yobu Appare! Sengoku Daikassen returned to the DVD sales chart, thanks to the September 5 opening of Takashi Yamazaki's live-action Ballad: Namonaki Koi no Uta period drama film. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi of the SMAP entertainment group stars in this live-action historical romance based loosely on the plot of the award-winning Crayon Shin-chan film.
