posted on by Egan Loo

The official website for Yume-Miru Kikai (Yume Robo or literally, "The Dreaming Machine"), the next anime feature film from acclaimed director Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika), has opened with more artwork on Thursday. The website currently has an introduction to the film's story and production; a gallery of stills, preliminary background art, and character designs; and an official staff blog. The website also posted a recruitment notice to fill the ranks of the production staff at the anime studio Madhouse.

The first artwork from the project was revealed at the Tokyo International Anime Fair back in March of 2008. According to the studio then, the title will be "animation that children can enjoy." Kon first hinted in interviews in 2007 that his next film will be "a future folklore story" for children. The following staff members are now listed on the website:

Original Story, Script, Director: Satoshi Kon
Character Design, Animation Director: Yoshimi Itazu
Art Director: Nobutaka Ike (Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika)
Director of Photography: Kenji Itoso (Kotonakare Hero Gingerman)
Animation Production: Madhouse
