Dubbed Strike Witches, Wallflower, Halo Clip Posted

The official blog of the North American anime distributor Funimation noted on Tuesday that it posted more free episodes on its own website and on the YouTube and Hulu websites this past week. Some of these titles are also available on ANN. The titles include the first two English-dubbed episodes of Strike Witches, the first four dubbed episodes of The Wallflower, the first three dubbed episodes of King of Bandit Jing in Seventh Heaven, and the dubbed Air movie.

Warner Brothers has posted a 95-second QuickTime movie clip from "The Prototype," one of the eight episodes in the Japanese-animated Halo Legends anthology. The anime studio Bones animated "The Prototype" and Tomoki Kyoda (Eureka Seven, Evangelion 1.0) and Yasushi Muraki (Macross Plus, Vampire Hunter D) co-directed it. The video is also available as a Windows Media file. The clip features voice actor David Matranga (Appleseed: Ex Machina, Le Chevalier D'Eon, Saiyuki) and voice actress Luci Christian (Appleseed: Ex Machina, Princess Tutu).
The company has previously posted movie clips from two other episodes from the anthology: "The Package," and "The Babysitter."
The anime studios BONES, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G, Studio 4°C, and Toei Animation are producing these side stories about the war between humans and the alien Covenant. The staff includes creative supervisors Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) and Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell), and directors Aramaki, Hideki Futamura (The Animatrix), Daisuke Nishio (Dragon Ball Z), Hiroshi Yamazaki (Karas), Toshiyuki Kanno (Black Lagoon), Kōichi Mashimo (Blade of the Immortal) and Kōji Sawai (Patlabor). Seraphim Studios, the company formed from the assets of A.D. Vision's Amusement Park Media dubbing outfit, is producing the English-language soundtrack. Warner Home Video will ship the North American DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases on February 16, 2010.
