Pokémon 2010 film in July; Eden of the East the Movie II next week; Working!! in April

The official website for the Pokémon anime franchise's films has posted a new 90-second trailer for the next film, Pocket Monster Diamond & Pearl: Genei no Hasha Zoroark (The Phantom Champion Zoroark). This marks the first apperance of the 495th Pokémon species, Zoroark. Kunihiko Yuyama, the director of most of the Pokémon projects and The Slayers films, is overseeing this fourth film in the Pokémon Diamond & Pearl sub-franchise. The film will open in Japan on July 10.

The official staff blog of the Eden of the East anime franchise has begun streaming the seventh "Paradise Resort" video — a two-minute weekly behind-the-scenes look at the production of the second film — on Friday. (The first six videos are still available at the same link.) In the new video, the staff nears the finish line just a week before opening. The film itself, Eden of the East the Movie II: Paradise Lost, will open in Japan on March 13 and will continue the story from last year's Eden of the East television anime series and November's Eden of the East the Movie I: The King of Eden. Funimation licensed the original television series for North America. The television series and the films feature Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex director Kenji Kamiyama and character designer Chika Umino (Honey and Clover).

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Karino Takatsu's Working!! four-panel manga has posted a 32-second Yachiyo "character trailer" on Friday. The video focuses on the oblivious, katana-carrying hall chief Yachiyo Todoroki (Eri Kitamura). The previous Comic Market promotional video and character trailers are still available from the same page. In the story, a high school freshman named Sōta Takanashi (Jun Fukuyama) works part-time among the restaurant's high-spirited, eccentric, yet cool staffers. Yoshimasa Hiraike (Kaleido Star, Sketchbook ~full color'S~, Solty Rei) is directing the anime version, and Shingo Adachi (Megaman Star Force, Rockman.EXE Beast+) is designing the characters and overseeing the animation at A-1 Pictures Inc. The television anime will officially premiere on April 4, although the first episode is getting an advance airing on Saturday.
