Haruaki Katoh's Hyakko Manga Listed by Amazon

posted on by Egan Loo
Flex Comix's slice-of-life school comedy was made into 2008 TV anime

The Amazon online retailer is listing the first volume of Haruaki Katoh's Hyakko manga from the CMX, the imprint of the North American publisher DC Comics, for an October 19 release. Amazon's listings do not necessarily indicate definite release plans or dates. The story follows the antics of four high school freshman girls, after they enroll into a huge private academy that teaches every grade from elementary school to high school.

Flex Comix Inc., a Japanese partner of CMX, is publishing this slice-of-life school comedy in its free web manga magazine Flex Comix Blood in Japan. Nippon Animation animated the story into a television series in 2008.
