New Jersey's AnimeNext Hosts Eden of the East Director

The AnimeNext convention has announced that it will be hosting anime director Kenji Kamiyama at the June 18-20 event in Somerset, New Jersey.
Kamiyama directed the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex television series as well as the 2nd GIG sequel and the Solid State Society film follow-up. Kamiyama previously wrote the screenplay for Mamoru Oshii and Hiroyuki Kitakubo's Blood: The Last Vampire film, and he had also worked with Oshii and Hiroyuki Okiura as an animation director on the Jin-Roh - The Wolf Brigade film. Kamiyama later directed the Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit television series and most recently worked on the Eden of the East television series and its two theatrical finale films.
AnimeNext will also host the Japanese all-girl rock band Stereopony. Kamiyama will later be attending the Anime Expo convention in Los Angeles in July.
