Mamoru Oshii's Live-Action Assault Girls Gets U.S. DVD

Live-action film to get English-language dub
The home video distributor Well Go USA has confirmed with ANN that it will release the Mamoru Oshii-directed live-action science-fiction film Assault Girls on DVD on October 19, 2010. The film will feature an English dub track and other features to be announced later.
The film, originally released in Japan in December 2009, is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth in which three female hunters fight a war against giant beasts called sand-whales. The movie was developed as a follow-up to two of Oshii's past short films, titled "Assault Girl: Kentucky no Hinako" and "Assault Girl 2."
