Seven Seas Hints at Amnesia Labyrinth Manga License

posted on by Egan Loo
Murder mystery written by Haruhi Suzumiya's Nagaru Tanigawa

The North American manga publisher Seven Seas Entertainment is revealing three new licenses through puzzles on its Twitter account between Sunday and Tuesday. On Monday, Seven Seas provided the following hints for the second manga title: the anagram "Inhabit Manslayer" and the riddle below:

In what kind of maze are you in a daze? Forget where you're going? You're stuck here.

Nagaru Tanigawa, the author of the Haruhi Suzumiya light novels, and artist Kohane Natsumi launched a mystery manga called Kagerō Meikyū (Amnesia Labyrinth) in the July 2008 issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko Magazine. ASCII Media Works has since published the second of the manga's two compiled book volumes last December. The story follows a boy who transfers from a distant all-boys academy to a school near his own home after summer vacation. At the strong urging of a female classmate, the boy investigates a spate of serial killings at his new school.

Seven Seas will not have a panel at this week's Comic-Con International in San Diego, but it will have a booth (#2303). The publisher already hinted on Sunday that it licensed Zekkyō's manga version of Yuyuko Takemiya's Toradora! romantic comedy light novels series.

Update: More background and story information added.
