This year's 18th issue of Shueisha's Business Jump magazine has announced on Wednesday that a live-action television series adaptation of Shinobu Kaitani's Reinōryokusha Odagiri Kyōko no Uso mystery comedy manga has been green-lit for October. The title character, Kyōko Odagiri, is a beautiful psychic genius who solves difficult cases. Ichirō Taniguchi is a huge fan of Odagiri who happens to cross paths with Odagiri on his way to an unrelated job interview. He learns a crucial secret about Odagiri and ends up working for her.

Kaitani also created the Liar Game suspense manga and television drama series, as well as the ONE OUTS - Nobody wins, but I! baseball manga and its anime adaptation. The Reinōryokusha Odagiri Kyōko no Uso manga launched in May of 2007, and Shueisha will compile and publish the fourth book volume on September 17. The television series will premiere on the TV Asahi network.
