Live-action Priest film next May; Arakawa under the Bridge × Bridge next month

The website Crackle has released a 149-second trailer for Scott Stewart's live-action film adaption of Min-Woo Hyung's Korean manhwa Priest this week. The film stars Paul Bettany as the titular priest who attempts to rescue his niece from vampires. Also starring in the film are Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, and Christopher Plummer. After three delays, the movie is now slated for release in 2D and stereoscopic 3D on May 13, 2011. Tokyopop announced at Comic-Con International in July that the movie's prequel comic Priest: Purgatory is available now on Apple's App Store. Tokyopop is also releasing Ghostface, another series from Hyung.

King Records' Starchild label has begun streaming a promotional video for the Arakawa under the Bridge × Bridge television anime series on Friday. Similar to the initial promotional videos for the first Arakawa Under the Bridge series, this new video features the characters Hoshi and Village Chief but no actual animated footage. Also like the first series, the new series adapts Hikaru Nakamura's manga about the eccentric characters who live under Arakawa Bridge. The series will premiere in Japan in October.

Bandai Visual's Lantis label has begun streaming a 125-second "short" promotional video for the Love Live! project's "Bokura no Live Kimi to no Live" song on its YouTube channel. The school idol project comes from the anime studio Sunrise, Lantis, and ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G's Magazine. As a self-described "ultimate user-participation project," Love Live! will let its fans vote on the future of the idol characters. The song's CD single shipped in Japan in August with the full music video animated by Sunrise.
