Crunchyroll Adds Squid Girl, KamiNomi, Letter Bee 2 (Updated)

Naruto Shippūden, BLEACH, Fairy Tail, Kaasan - Mom's Life, Lilpri's simulcasts to continue

The media-distribution website Crunchyroll has announced on Wednesday that it will simulcast the Squid Girl (Shinryaku! Ika Musume), The World God Only Knows, and Tegami Bachi: Reverse (Letter Bee Reverse) anime series. It will also continue five ongoing anime titles from the licensor TV Tokyo: Naruto Shippūden, BLEACH, Fairy Tail, Kaasan - Mom's Life, and Lilpri. The three new simulcasted series will stream on the same day that each of their episodes air in Japan.

The Squid Girl anime adapts Masahiro Anbe's Shinryaku! Ika Musume (The Invader Came From the Bottom of the Sea!) comedy manga. The story centers arounds a Squid Girl who vows to invade the beaches of mankind since humans have polluted the seas. However, her invasion is less than successful, and she ends up on dry land.

Tamiki Wakaki's The World God Only Knows (Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai) manga inspired the upcoming anime of the same name. In the romantic comedy, Keima Katsuragi is a high school boy who is known as the "Capturing God" for his success at romance simulation games. However, thanks to a contract with a devil, he now has to capture the hearts of real girls to catch the runaway spirits hidden in those hearts.

Tegami Bachi: Reverse is a sequel to the 2009 TV anime adaptation of Hiroyuki Asada's shounen fantasy manga Tegami Bachi. The story revolves around a young boy named Lag Seeing who becomes a "letter bee," delivering messages throughout the world of AmberGround, which exists in eternal night. Crunchyroll also simulcasted the first television anime last fall, and Viz Media is publishing the original manga's third volume this month.
