Seven Seas Adds Dive in the Vampire Bund Manga

posted on by Gia Manry
Complete Strawberry Panic! light novel omnibus also announced

American manga publisher Seven Seas Entertainment has confirmed with ANN that it will release Nozomu Tamaki's manga Dance in the Vampire Bund Gaiden: Dive in the Vampire Bund, a spinoff of Tamaki's Dance in the Vampire Bund. The new manga takes place in the Bund, an island nation of vampires ruled by Mina Tepes. Two tourists visiting the country are turned into vampires and seek help from Tepes to try and reverse their transformation within 48 hours.

Seven Seas Entertainment plans to ship the manga next April with a suggested retail price of US$10.99.

The original Dance in the Vampire Bund manga started in 2006 in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Flapper magazine, and an anime adaptation premiered this past January. Seven Seas Entertainment has the English-language license to the original manga, while Funimation licensed the anime. The series became the subject of some controversy when Funimation announced that it might cut some of the content while streaming the anime, although it did consider releasing the unedited version on DVD.

Seven Seas has also announced that it will release the Sakurako Kimino and Namuchi Takumi's Strawberry Panic! light novel series in a single-volume omnibus at an unspecified future date. The omnibus will include the third and final volume of the series, which has not been released in English previously. Seven Seas published the first two volumes separately in March and July of 2008. An omnibus of the Strawberry Panic! manga series is currently scheduled for an October release, and Media Blasters' Anime Works released the 2006 television anime in a box set in North America in July 2009.
