Aniplex, A-1 Pictures Launch Anohana Project Anime (Update 2)

posted on by Egan Loo
Website features puzzles with info on anime & presents as prizes

The production company Aniplex, the broadcaster Fuji TV, and the anime studio A-1 Pictures have launched an all-original anime project called anohana Project. "Chō Heiwa Busters" is credited as the original creator. The official website features the logo of the new title, reworked as a word puzzle. People who solve the puzzle before December 30 will receive new information on the anime and a present.

Starting on Friday, selected Animate and AniBro Gamers! stores throughout Japan will display panels printed with information regarding the project. In addition, the Animate and AniBro Gamers! stores will distribute stickers with information that can be used to fill in the blank parts of the puzzle.

Update: A user on livedoor (via Uri-Sure Matome R) solved the puzzle in less than an hour: Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai. (We Still do not Know the Name of the Flower we Saw that Day.).

There will be a commercial with further information on the project during Fuji TV's final episode of Shiki on December 30 at 25:10 (December 31 at 1:10 a.m.)

Update 2: Solving the puzzle will reveal a downloadable wallpaper image of a character, as well as an additional puzzle for the nickname of the character. People who guess the nickname will be entered in a drawing for three presents. The winners will be announced in January.
