Noragaki, Puella Magi Madoka Magica Promos Streamed

The Japanese production company Bandai Visual has launched a website with a 30-second promotional video for its original video anime (OVA) short project Norageki! on Wednesday. The story is set in a certain isolated prison with four prisoners and a cat. One day, a sudden power outage opens the locks and everyone is mysteriously set free from their cells. However, all of the guards are missing, and the prisoners cannot find any exits.
Hiroaki Ando (Digital Juice, Steamboy & Tekkonkinkreet CGI director) is directing the animators at Sunrise with writer Dai Sato (Freedom, Eureka Seven). Masaru Gotsubo (Shounen Tantei Inugami Geru, Samurai Champloo manga) and Kimitoshi Yamane (Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop) are responsible for the character and mechanic designs, respectively. The cast includes Miyu Irino (Kōseinen, "Good Young Man"), Takako Honda (Ii Onna, "Good Woman"), Kazuma Mori (Chūnen Otoko, "Middle-Aged Man"), Meg (Ota-Onna, "Female Otaku"), and Seizo Katou (Rōjin, "Old Man"). Meg is also singing the theme song. The anime will premiere in theatrical screenings on January 22, 2011.
The official website of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica television anime series has been revamped with, among other items, a stream of the anime's eighth commercial. The commercial confirms that ClariS is singing the opening theme song "CONNECT" and that Kalafina is performing the ending theme song "Magia." It also lists the previously revealed characters in the magical girl anime: Madoka Kaname (Aoi Yūki), Kyubey (Emiri Katō), Homura Akemi (Chiwa Saito), Mami Tomoe (Kaori Mizuhashi), and Sayaka Miki (Eri Kitamura).
The anime features director Akiyuki Shinbo (Bakemonogatari, Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei, Hidamari Sketch, Arakawa Under the Bridge), series script supervisor Gen Urobuchi (Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~, Blassreiter, Fate/Zero) of Nitroplus, original character designer Ume Aoki (Hidamari Sketch), animation character designer Takahiro Kishida (Durarara!!, Serial Experiments Lain), and musical composer Yuki Kajiura (Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, .hack, Noir, Kara no Kyoukai). It will premiere on January 6 in Osaka.
