Magical girl comedy to begin streaming on Monday

The media-distribution website Crunchyroll has announced that it will begin simulcasting the television anime Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? on Monday, January 10. The series will be available in North and South America, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, the Middle East, Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Brazil, and Portugal. Paid subscribers in Ireland and the United Kingdom will also be able to access the show until June 30, 2011.

The series adapts Shinichi Kimura's light novel series of the same name, which was illustrated by Kobuichi and Muririn. The story follows a normal high school boy named Ayumu Aikawa as he is killed and resurrected as a zombie by a necromancer named Eucliwood ("Eu"). Ayumu then accidentally deprives the magical girl Haruna of her powers, so she demands that Ayumu take her place in fighting her enemy Megalo.

Update: Added background info, image, and press release.

Update 2: The series page for the show lists it as has having 12 episodes. Thanks, kel aka gandy.
