TV Tokyo to Air English Mainichi Kaasan/Kaasan - Mom's Life

TV Tokyo opened a preview site for its English broadcast of the Mainichi Kaa-san family comedy anime series on Monday. The English version will premiere under the name Hello! Mainichi Kaa-san on April 4, and it will run every weekday from 6:40 to 6:45 a.m. The anime adapts Rieko Saibara's award-winning Mainichi Kaa-san manga about humorous everyday experiences of Saibara's own life with her two children.
In the new version, Kōsuke Yabe and Mau Konishi will help viewers learn English; the two played the children Bunji and Fumi, respectively, in this year's live-action film adaptation of the manga. TV Tokyo announcers Rena Akimoto and Miki Handa will also star in the new version.
The Crunchyroll website began streaming the English-subtitled version of the series under the name Kaasan - Mom's Life outside Japan in 2009.
