Armageddon: Armageddon Christchurch Expo has been rescheduled for July 2nd and 3rd at Addington Raceway, Christchurch. Initially scheduled for early April, the event was postponed after the Christchurch earthquake on 22nd February caused extensive damage to the city; Armageddon's offices were damaged in the quake and its Hobart event was also postponed as a result. Due to the change in date and venue the Christchurch Expo will not feature international guests or certain events but other events will be available, including anime screenings, traders and cosplay.
Armageddon also revealed the guest line-up for its Melbourne expo taking place on the 22nd and 23rd of October this year. Anime-related guests include Kyle Herbert (Dragon Ball Z, BLEACH), Troy Baker (Naruto Shippūden) and Steven Blum (Cowboy Bebop, Naruto).
AVCon: AVCon has posted a reminder of deadlines for its various competitions.
SMASH!: Registrations for the Cosplay Competition and Cosplay Parade are now open. The Cosplay Competition can be entered online and the Cosplay Chess competition requires those interested in participating to post in the related forum thread. SMASH! are also looking for two chess players to play in Cosplay Chess. Other competitions have also been opened.
Overload: Special international guest Yuri Inaba has created a video message introducing herself ahead of Overload. Yuri Inaba is a cosplayer and won the World Cosplay Summit in 2009.
