NY Asian Film Fest Hosts Takayuki Yamada, Tak Sakaguchi, Yudai Yamaguchi

New York Asian Film Festival announced that actor Takayuki Yamada, actor/director Tak Sakaguchi, and writer/director Yūdai Yamaguchi are among the 14 guests who will be attending July 1-14 event at the Film Society of Lincoln Center and Japan Society in New York City.

Yamada starred in such films as Train Man, Crying Out Love in the Center of the World, Crows Zero, Gantz, and 13 Assassins, and he will next appear in the television and film versions of Arakawa Under the Bridge.

Sakaguchi earned his big break with the action film Versus, and he also starred in SHINOBI, Jigoku Kōshien (Battlefield Baseball), and many other films.

Yamaguchi co-directed Yakuza Weapon as his latest work with Sakaguchi. He previously directed the live-action versions of Cromartie High School and Jigoku Kōshien (Battlefield Baseball), and he also co-wrote Versus.

The other guests include creator Yoshimasa Ishibashi (The Fuccons), stuntman/actor Arata Yamanaka, producer Yoshinori Chiba, director Tsui Hark, writer-director Su Chao-Pin, director Ryoo Seung-Wan, director Na Hong-Jin, director Lee Joon-Ik, writer Kwon Hyeok-Jae, director Yeo Joon Han, and actor Peter Davis. Among others, the festival is screening Yamada and Ishibashi's Milocrorze: A Love Story as well as the 20th anniversary screening of Versus.
