NIS America Adds Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge

NIS America (NISA), the American subsidiary of the Nippon Ichi Software game company, announced on Friday that it will release Arakawa under the Bridge × Bridge, the second television anime series based on Hikaru Nakamura's Arakawa Under the Bridge gag comedy manga. The entire 13-episode second series will ship on two Blu-ray Discs and two DVDs with English subtitles on February 7, 2012.
Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge follows the lives of new and returning eccentric characters who dwell by the Arakawa Bridge. Rec now has to cope with an Amazon woman and a sci-fi comic nerd who thinks he's a captain in the Earth Defense Force. Rec also struggles with his romantic relationship as the group's antics bring the insanity to an all-time high.
Arakawa under the Bridge × Bridge Premium Edition will include a hardcover art book with collectible slip case, cast and staff commentaries, and other bonuses. The package's retail price is US$69.99.
As a sequel to the Arakawa Under the Bridge television anime, which aired in Japan from April to June 2010, Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge premiered in Japan in October 2010. NIS America released the series' first season in a DVD/Blu-ray Disc combo pack in July.
