Series will run in mornings from December 18 to 30.

According to the C21 Media website, the Japanese-animated version of Thundercats has been picked up by Channel 5 to run across its Christmas schedule from December 18 to 30. The 13 episodes will be shown in the mornings at 10 a.m.

In America, Thundercats premiered on Cartoon Network on July 29 with a one-hour special that reached 2.4 million viewers.

The anime studio Studio 4°C animated Thundercats in collaboration with Warner Bros. In the past, Studio 4°C has animated parts of The Animatrix, Batman: Gotham Knight, and Halo Legends.

Channel 5's head of acquisitions, Paul Fagan, said Thundercats was "one of the most iconic animated series of all time."

The series debuted in the U.K. on Cartoon Network in September.
