S'more Entertainment Adds Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo on U.S. DVD
posted on by Egan Loo
Arny Schorr, owner of the newly established North American anime distributor S'more Entertainment, confirmed that his company acquired the Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo television series from Toei Animation. The DVD release of "Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo Complete Series Part 1" will ship on March 27 with 38 episodes (the first half of the series) on four discs with English subtitles and dubbing.
The 2003-2006 television anime series adapts Yoshio Sawai's slapstick comedy manga about an Afro-haired man on a quest to protect hairdom from the authoritarian tyrant, Czar Boldy Bold 4th. Cartoon Network ran the series on American television in 2005, and Viz Media began publishing part of the original manga. Illumitoon Entertainment released part of the anime in 2007, but did not complete the series before it stopped releasing anime entirely.

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo and Galaxy Express 999 are S'more Entertainment's first two anime releases. Retail distribution for S'more is handled in the United States and Canada by Entertainment One Ltd.
