Independent Anime at London Animation Festival

The 2012 London International Animation Festival has announced the following events.
On Saturday October 27, there is a programme of independent Japanese short films at 7 p.m. The same evening also sees a screening (9 p.m.) of the work of animator Keita Kurosaka, including his short film Midori-ko. Both screenings are at the Barbican centre.
On Wednesday October 31, there will be a screening of work by the CALF collection, a group of young Japanese independent animators. The screening is at 7.30 p.m. at the Horse Hospital, near Russell Square underground station. It is part of the festival's Halloween programme.
On Thursday November 1, the Oscar-nominated Japanese animator Koji Yamamura ("Mt. Head," "Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor") will present a Masterclass (limited to 25 places) and a Retrospective of his work. The Masterclass starts at 6.30 p.m. (running to 9 p.m.) and the Retrospective starts at 9.15 p.m. (The workshop is not a practical workshop, so you do not need to be a filmmaker or animator.) Both events take place at the Barbican Centre.
On Saturday November 3, there will be a screening of animated shorts by Japanese students at 6 p.m. The students were on the Tokyo University of the Arts animation course. The screening takes place at the Horse Hospital near Russell Square underground station.
