3D shorts adapt supercell member Yoshiki Usa & Tomoko Fujinoki's manga about mascot character

The media distribution website Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it is streaming the Wooser's Hand-to-Mouth Life television anime series. The company will stream the series worldwide outside of Japan on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. EST, starting on December 11.

The series adapts Yoshiki Usa and Tomoko Fujinoki's Wooser no Sono Higurashi (Wooser's Hand-to-Mouth Life) manga, and it premiered in Japan on October 2. The 3D shorts center around Wooser, a mysterious mascot character who lives on the Internet and whose charming appearance belies a corrupt heart that craves money, meat, and gals.

Usa, a member of the musical group supercell, has been writing a journal column for the past decade, and illustrator Tomoko Fujinoki turned the column into a series of one-panel manga that Kodansha's Seikaisha subsidiary published in September.

Toyonori Yamada, a director of photography on Gurren Lagann and Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, is directing the anime at the studio SANZIGEN. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Ben-To, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Kämpfer) is in charge of the scripts. Mamoru Miyano (Death Note, Gundam 00) plays Wooser, and Tia is performing "Love Me, Gimme," the theme song written and composed by supercell's ryo.
