Dragon Ball Z Kai TV Screenings on Kix! Channel in Early 2013

The U.K. television screenings of Dragon Ball Z Kai, previously announced by Toei Animation, will be shown in early 2013, according to information posted on the forum of the Anime UK News website.

One poster sent an email to the U.K. channel Kix!, asking if it would show the series, and was told, "This is true but at the moment I can't give you an exact date other than that it will be early in the new year." Another poster pointed out that the November issue of the trade magazine ToyNews referred to Dragon Ball Z Kai as "launching in Q1 on Kix."

According to the original Toei announcement, the English media group CSC Media acquired the TV rights for 53 episodes of Dragon Ball Z Kai. CSC Media operates 16 U.K. channels, including Kix! for boys aged 7-12. ANN contacted CSC Media this week to ask when the series was scheduled, but a rep said she could make no comment.

Dragon Ball Z Kai is Toei Animation's condensed version of the Dragon Ball Z series, running 97 episodes in total (plus an extra DVD-only episode).
