New UK Anime Distributor to Launch in 2013

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Andrew Partridge of Kazé UK and the Scotland Loves Anime festival will launch a new anime distribution company in the United Kingdom next year. The the name of the new anime label is not finalized, although the underlying company is called Anime Limited.

The company launched a Facebook page, Twitter account, and Tumblr page. No titles are currently confirmed but Partridge said that he will start "talking content" in early January. He added that, “For film, I have some nice surprises over the next few months. For TV, I have two contracts signed on my desk and a ton more on their way." The first home releases are likely to be in the late second quarter of 2013, Partridge says.

The company's Facebook page states that it will announce its first license if it receives 1,000 "likes"; it has 443 as of Saturday.

The label's website will launch in January.
