Japanese Box Office, January 26-27

One Piece, Go-Busters vs. Gokaiger, Hunter x Hunter, Evangelion 3.0 stay in top 10

One Piece Film Z fell from #5 to #6 during its seventh weekend. The film features "Z" (Zetto), the Straw Hat pirate crew's "strongest enemy yet" who was designed by original One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda. Oda served as the executive producer of this film, as he did for the 10th feature film, 2009's One Piece Film Strong World. The film earned US$1,226,169 on 304 screens for a new total of US$74,892,238.

Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: The Movie, the latest in the Super Sentai VS film series, fell from #4 to #7 during its second weekend. The film earned US$910,328 on 275 screens for a new total of US$2,884,734.

The Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge film fell from #6 to #8 during its third weekend. The film centers around the character Kurapika, who became a hunter to seek revenge on the Phantom Troupe for the massacre of his clan. The film featured the new character Omokage, the person with the No. 4 spider tattoo. The film is based on an unpublished story manga creator Yoshihiro Togashi wrote around 10 years ago. The film earned US$846,713 on 257 screens for a new total of US$11,502,151.

The Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo (Evangelion Shin Gekijō-ban Q) film rose from #14 to #10 during its 11th weekend. The film is the third in Hideaki Anno and Khara's four-part remake of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion anime series. The film earned US$364,351 on 177 screens (53 more screens than last weekend) for a new total of US$59,322,115.

Box Office Mojo began listing the Blue Exorcist anime film during the film's fifth weekend. The film ranked at #14 and earned US$197,393 on 183 screens for a new total of US$5,973,125.

The live-action film adaptation of Kanan Minami's Kyō, Koi o Hajimemasu shōjo romance manga fell from Box Office Mojo's chart in its eighth weekend. The film version of the 2011 live-action television series based on the classic supernatural adventure anime Humanoid Monster Bem (Yōkai Ningen Bem) also fell from Box Office Mojo's chart during its seventh weekend.
