After 18 years, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's Neon Genesis Evangelion manga will conclude (in theory) on June the 4th. The manga was originally published in Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace magazine back in December of 1994 and has been published on and off since then. The manga will conclude with a total of 14 volumes.
Hiroya Oku, the manga creator of Gantz has used his column in Shueisha's Miracle Jump to state that Gantz will conclude soon. No further information on the conclusion of Gantz has been announced but Oku began the "final phase" of the manga in 2009 and stated that he intended to finish the manga in 2012.
We might as well come right out and say it, there's a live-action adaptation of light novel Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Haganai) in production. Yomi Hirasaka, the author of the light novel series, confirmed the production stating that while he did not originally approve of the adaptation, he now feels that light-novels should be bringing in new people through adaptations to build the future of the light novel industry.
And finally there's Gamma.Con, the re-branded Anime.AU running in Canberra on Saturday the 18th of May. It'll be at the Manning Clarke Centre on the Australian National University grounds and have a combination of cosplay, screenings, game tournaments and more. Full details are available here.
