Namco Bandai Files to Renew U.S. Digimon Trademarks

Namco Bandai Games filed to trademark both "Digital Monsters" and "Digimon World" again in the United States. The "Digital Monsters" trademark was filed again on May 1 for use with computer and video game software. "Digimon World" was filed again last September, but not published for opposition until February 5. This step is to give other parties the opportunity to object to the trademark.
Namco Bandai Games revealed four phases in its celebration of the Digimon franchise's 15th anniversary in Japan: the PSP game Digimon World Re:Digitize, the iPhone card RPG Digimon Crusader, the PSP game Digimon Adventure, and the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode.
