Class Action Suit Against YouTube Dismissed

U.S. District Judge Louis Stanton dismissed the class-action lawsuit brought against Google's YouTube service on Thursday. The judge ruled the suit's many plaintiffs and claims were simply too numerous for a single review to handle. Judge Stanton dismissed the case stating they would be better represented and individual cases.

The suit's plaintiff's included the United Kingdom's professional soccer league, several music publishers, and other rightsholders.

The parties stated they are going to consider their options which may include an appeal. Judge Stanton previously ruled in favor of YouTube in Viacom's multi-billion-dollar case last month.
