Campaign looking to meet US$50,000 stretch goal by June 22

Pied Piper, DIRECTIONS, and Studio Rikka reached its US$18,000 Kickstarter campaign goal for an international Blu-ray Disc release of Yasuhiro Yoshiura's Time of Eve film shortly after midnight Japan Time on Saturday — less than 24 hours after the campaign started. The campaign has added a stretch goal of US$50,000 for an English-language dub.

The Kickstarter campaign is attempting to raise US$50,000 by June 22 and, as of this writing, is at US$48,284. The release would include Time of Eve: The Movie with English dub and subtitles, bonus video features such as interviews with the main cast and Yoshiura, a 40-page art book, and eight postcards for those who purchase the film through the Kickstarter campaign.

The 2010 film took the original six-episode net anime series and added new scenes, a new ending, and a theme song by Kalafina.

The movie version of the anime is available digitally on the iTunes Store in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Crunchyroll has been streaming the original Time of Eve net anime series, and the English-subtitled Japanese Blu-ray Disc of the series was offered to U.S. and European audiences.
