Sekigan no Shōnen Occult Maiden ~Kage Shō~ manga with artist Chado to start on July 5

This year's 12th issue of Square Enix's Young Gangan anthology announced last week that Haganai novelist Yomi Hirasaka is penning a manga with artist Chado titled Sekigan no Shōnen Occult Maiden ~Kage Shō~ (One-Eyed Boy Occult Maiden ~Shadow Chapter~). The series will debut in the 14th issue of Young Gangan on July 5.

Hirasaka's Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Haganai) light novels with Buriki's illustrations have over 4.85 million copies in circulation, although the ninth volume is on indefinite hiatus. The novels were adapted into a television series last year and the second season Haganai NEXT premiered in January. Funimation announced in January 2012 that it had acquired the rights for the first season while Seven Seas licensed the manga adaptation. Funimation streamed Haganai NEXT as it aired this year.

This week's issue of Young Gangan also included the final chapter of Yu-Ko Osada's Kidi Ruck! manga and announced other new manga series that will debut in upcoming issues. The 13th issue will start Tsuoki Naka and Atabon0's Quartet! and Asuka Hizuki's Robot Kissa Haguruma (Robot Cafe Cog-Wheel) manga, the 15th issue will start Maki Nishiwatari's Mōsō Kōkō Kyōin Morishita (Delusional High School Teacher Morishita) manga, and the 16th issue will start the sequel to Hiroyuki's Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to (The Comic Artist and His Assistants) manga.
