'K' Anime's English Dub Previewed in Video Before July 12 Debut

North American anime distributor Viz Media is streaming a sneak peek of its English dub for the K television anime series:

The English dub (recorded at Studiopolis) will premiere on Viz's Neon Alley service on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on July 12. Before then, Viz will hold a panel for the anime at Anime Expo on July 5 with Patrick Seitz (Reisi Munakata), Stephanie Sheh (Neko), Matt Mercer (Kuroh Yatogami), and Keith Silverstein (Mikoto Suoh).
Viz describes the story:
K is set in a world where history has taken a slightly different course from the one we're familiar with and follows the story of a young boy whose life is caught in a supernatural war between seven kings. Yashiro Isana, also known as Shiro, is wanted for a crime he has no recollection of committing. He finds himself being hunted by the groups HOMRA, led by Mikoto Suoh, “The Red King,” and SCEPTER 4, led by Reisi Munakata, “The Blue King.” While on the run, another young man named Kuroh Yatogami helps him. Will this fated encounter change Shiro's life forever?
The anime premiered last October with Shingo Suzuki (Mardock Scramble) as the director and character designer. The show's Japanese voice cast includes Daisuke Namikawa, Tomokazu Sugita, Mikako Komatsu, Kenjiro Tsuda, Daisuke Ono, Mamoru Miyano, Miyuki Sawashiro, Yui Horie, Takahiro Sakurai, Jun Fukuyama, Yūichi Nakamura, Satomi Satou, and Yūki Kaji. Viz Media streamed the anime in North America as it aired in Japan.
The television series is spawning a film sequel next year.
