Hetalia's Himaruya to Start Taishō Roman Oni-san Yameteee—!! Manga

Series set in Japan's Taisho era (1912-1926) to start on August 3

The August issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine is announcing on Thursday that Hetalia creator Hidekaz Himaruya will launch a new series in the following issue on August 3. The series is titled Taishō Roman Oni-san Yameteee—!! (Taishō-Era Romance — Quit It, Demon!!). In the story, a girl gets lost in the "age of romance" and struggles in cooking. Japan's historical Taishō era ran from 1912 to 1926.

Himaruya ended his manga series Chibisan Date in Gentosha's Comic Spica magazine in April. He is still running his most well-known work, Hetalia, in Gentosha's Monthly Comic Birz magazine.

Right Stuf, Gentosha Comics, and Tokyopop collaborated to release the first three volumes of the Hetalia manga. (Tokyopop published the beginning of Hetalia earlier, but it shut down its North American publishing operations in May of 2011.) The fifth anime season of Hetalia, Hetalia The Beautiful World, premiered in Japan in January. Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
