1986-1987 sequel to Zeta Gundam never previously released in N. America

Japanese animation studio Sunrise announced at Anime Expo on Saturday that Daisuki will stream the Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ television anime series.

This 47-episode sequel to Mobile Suit Z Gundam, which is also streaming on Daisuki, aired in 1986-1987. The show was the third Gundam television series that franchise creator and director Yoshiyuki Tomino oversaw. While Bandai Entertainment previously released the first two Gundam television series (Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam) in English in North America, Bandai Entertainment never released Gundam ZZ.

Daisuki launched in May and is also streaming Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Lupin the 3rd, The Prince of Tennis, Sword Art Online, Mobile Suit Z Gundam, and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. Daisuki announced on Wednesday that it now streaming Dragon Ball Z and One Piece, and the website will also stream Monogatari Series Second Season, Nekomonogatari (Black), Nisemonogatari, and Bakemonogatari this summer.

Daisuki is currently hosting its second give-away campaign to hand out more than 1,000 prizes, and the company has also recently launched its e-commerce platform.

Sunrise also mentioned that it was in talks with NIS America to release Love Live! School idol project on Blu-ray Disc.
