Ghibli's From Up on Poppy Hill Opens in U.K. and Irish Cinemas Friday

Studio Ghibli's From Up On Poppy Hill opens in UK and Irish cinemas on Friday August 2, playing in both and subtitled prints (see full venue list below.) Directed by Goro Miyazaki and co-scripted by his father Hayao Miyazaki, the film is a romantic period drama about a teenage boy and girl in 1963 Yokohama. The dub version features Sarah Bolger, Anton Yelchin, Gillian Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Beau Bridges, Christina Hendricks, Ron Howard, Chris Noth, Aubrey Plaza and Anton Yelchin.
In addition, the film is due to be released by Studio Canal on both DVD and Blu-ray (pictured) on September 23. Also, Amazon UK lists a distinct "Collector's Edition" Blu-ray.
