PS Vita remake of 1st Hyperdimension Neptunia game to ship in October

Video game developer Compile Heart announced on Sunday at the Tokyo Game Show 2013 event that a PS Vita remake of its Chōjigen Game Neptune mk2 (Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2) video tentatively titled Re;Birth 2 is currently in production. In addition, Compile Heart revealed that more details about the upcoming Chō Megami Shinkō Noir: Gekishin Black Heart video game will be unveiled in the November issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki PlayStation magazine.

Compile Heart is releasing a PS Vita remake of its 2010 Hyperdimension Neptunia PlayStation 3 video game on October 31 titled Chōjigen Game Neptune Re;Birth 1. The regular version will cost 6,090 yen (about US$61), while the limited edition will cost 8,190 yen (US$82), and the downloadable version will cost 5,300 yen (US$53). The limited-edition version will bundle the "Bōken de Maru Maru Sarechau CD" drama CD and a Neptunia rubber strap. Those who pre-order the game will also receive the "Megumi-tachi ga Soine Shitekurechau CD" drama CD.

NIS America released the Hyperdimension Neptunia and Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 games in North America, and it released Kami Jigen Game Neptune V as Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory in March. The first game anthropomorphizes the game console wars as female role-playing game characters.

The Hyperdimension Neptunia television anime premiered in Japan on July 12 as an adaptation of the Hyperdimension Neptunia game series. Funimation is streaming the series as it airs.
