Crunchyroll to Stream Wanna Be the Strongest in the World, Yu-sibu Anime

ESE and Natsuki launched the original Wanna Be the Strongest in the World manga in the inaugural issue of Comic Earth Star in 2011, and the fourth compiled book volume shipped on September 12. This is the first 30-minute television anime based on a manga from the magazine. In the story, Sakura Hagiwara (voiced by Ayana Taketatsu), the main vocalist of the nationally renowned idol group Sweet, suddenly decides to become a female professional wrestler one day. The show also stars Kana Asumi, Yuka Ōtsubo, Miku Itou, and Sora Amamiya. The five main cast members are performing the ending theme song "Fan Fanfare!!!."

Rion Kujo (Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, Ikki Tousen: Shūgaku Tōshi Keppu-roku) is directing the "most fainting-in-agony female professional wrestling anime ever" at the studio ARMS (MAOYU, Ikki Tousen). Rin-Sin (Queen's Blade, Ikki Tousen) is designing the characters.

The anime will premiere in Japan on October 6.

The staff of the television anime was announced in May. Kinji Yoshimoto (Genshiken 2, Queen's Blade 2: The Evil Eye) is directing the anime at studio asread (The Future Diary, Shuffle!). Tetsuya Takeuchi (Yomigaeru Sora - RESCUE WINGS -) is adapting Masaki Inuzumi's novel illustrations for the animation character designs, and Masashi Suzuki (Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox, Shuffle!, Oda Nobuna no Yabō) is in charge of the series scripts. Azusa Tadokoro and Keisuke Kōmoto will star as Fino Bloodstone and Raul Chaser respectively. ZAQ is performing the opening theme song "Extra Revolution."

The anime premiered on Japanese television on October 4.
