Australian anime distributor to release Zetman and Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne;

The announcements were made at the Madman Entertainment Panel during Brisbane Supanova Pop Culture Expo 2013, we currently do not have further information on the releases.

Zetman

Two rival heroes, ZET and Alphasz fates intertwine as they fight to protect mankind from the monstrous abominations known as Players. Jin Kanzaki is a young man who lives under a bridge with an old man struggling to pay off his debts, but he can transform into the super-powered mutant known as ZET. Kouga Amagi is a young man who has grown up with a strong sense of justice and a silver spoon in his mouth, but dons a suit to become Alphasz, his childhood hero who now must fight against the creations of his families company, the Players.

Having run for just over a decade, Zetman was created by Masakazu Katsura who is known for romance and comedy stories such as Video Girl Ai, DNA², and I''s. The series started as a set of one-off manga published in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump between 1989 and 1994 which was then collected into a tankōbon in 1995. The series was then re-launched in 2002 as a fully fledged series that now has 18 published volumes to date.

The 13 episode anime adaptation was released in 2012 and directed by Osamu Nabeshima (D.Gray-man, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas) at TMS Entertainment. Atsuhiro Tomioka (Inazuma Eleven, Samurai 7, Pokémon) wrote the scripts and Hirotoshi Takaya (Eyeshield 21, Puppet Princess/Karakuri no Kimi, Project ARMS) designed the characters. Italian composer Gabriele Roberto (SPEC, Paco and the Magical Book) was responsible for the music.

Viz Media licensed Zetman in North America and released complete Blu-ray and DVD sets just last week (2013-11-05).

Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne

Madoka Kyouno is a school girl that is recruited by an alien girl named Lan to pilot the giant robot "Vox" and protect their city from space invaders. Madoka and Lan are soon joined by Muginami who has a slightly different goal to Lan and none of them know their enemies true goal.

Originally broadcast in 2012, Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne was a co-production with XEBEC (Broken Blade) producing the animation and Production.I.G. credited with the original story. The series was directed by Tatsuo Satō (Martian Successor Nadesico) with Toshimasa Suzuki (Sōkyū no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth) as the series director and Haruyuki Morisawa (Dream Club, To Aru Hikūshi e no Tsuioku) drew the key visual art for the anime. The car company Nissan is created the robot designs.

The series originally aired from January 2012 and ran for 12 episodes and a second 12 episode season was aired from July 2012, the series also has one OVA between season 1 and 2 and has a set of 3 minute specials on the BD/DVD releases in Japan.
