Atlus USA to Release Conception II PS Vita/3DS Game in N. America

Spike Chunsoft's sequel baby-making RPG gets Spring 2014 release

Video game localization company Atlus USA announced on Tuesday that it will release Spike Chunsoft's Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars (Conception II: Shichisei no Michibiki to Mazuru no Akumu) role-playing game for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS consoles in North America in Spring 2014. Atlus USA noted in the press release that even though the game is a sequel, it has a standalone story.

In the game, players play as a young man who trains as a Disciple, or a human who has been given the divine powers of a Star God, and who can fight the monsters inhabiting the world. The power of a Star God only resides in individuals until they reach the age of 18, so Disciples must combine powers to "create" Star Children who can fight with them. Players can create and strengthen bonds with the seven heroines to create stronger Star Children.

The game will retail for US$39.99.

Spike Chunsoft released the sequel in Japan for both systems on August 22.

The original Conception: Ore no Kodomo wo Undekure! (Conception: Please Give Birth to My Child!) game debuted in Japan on the PSP in April 2012.
