Ranka's voice continues voice-acting after last CD in February, last concert in March

The agency Stardust Promotion and anime music firm Flying Dog announced on Monday that voice actress/singer Megumi Nakajima will go on indefinite hiatus from her music career at the end of next March. They emphasized that she will continue her voice-acting career at this time.

Nakajima will release her third and last album, Thank You, and her "5th Anniversary Year's Final Live" Megumi Night Forever concert Blu-ray Disc on February 26. She will then hold her final live concert on March 20 in Tokyo. Stardust and Flying Dog explained that Nakajima expressed her strong intent to reassess her future in a neutral state. They apologized for the sudden notice and thanked her fans for their support.

Nakajima is best known for her breakout role of Ranka Lee after winning a nationwide singing and acting audition for the Macross Frontier anime. She recently celebrated her five-year anniversary in the industry. She also performed the theme songs for both seasons of Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne and voiced the character Grania. She played the part of Altene "Lene" in the series Busou Shinki.

Nakajima also sang and acted in Basquash!, Croisée in a Foreign Labyrinth - The Animation, Kämpfer, Kobato., and Tamayura. She was tapped to lend her singing voice to the Vocaloid GUMI, the mascot character for Megpoid's singing synthesizer. She appeared and performed at Anime Expo 2010 and Hawaii Entertainment Expo 2012.
