Allegedly threw radio at the stage, causing 30-minute halt but no injuries

Police in Osaka's Tenma Station arrested 34-year-old car mechanic service employee Takuya Hisatomi for allegedly disrupting a live concert by voice actress Yukari Tamura on Sunday. The suspect from Fukui Prefecture reportedly admitted to throwing a portable radio on stage, saying "I was a fan, but I wanted to sever my feelings of adoration."

The suspect allegedly threw a portable radio, about 9 centimeters long by 5.5 centimeters wide (about 3.5 by 2 inches), at the stage of the Osaka International Convention Center's Grand Cube Osaka hall at about 6:20 p.m. The radio struck a wall, but no one was injured. The staff subdued the suspect, and the police who were dispatched by a 110 (Japanese equivalent of 911 in the United States) emergency phone call took him away. Tamura's "Love ♡ Live 2014 Spring *Fruits Fruits ♡ Cherry" concert, which had about 2,600 attendees, was halted for about 30 minutes.

Tamura's homepage and other official venues famously use the catchphrase that the Higurashi: When They Cry voice actress is "forever 17 years old," but she recently announced on her tour that she is actually 37.

A man was arrested in 2008 for allegedly posting an online threat against voice actress and singer Nana Mizuki and her fans at her Tokyo concerts. Another man was arrested that same year for allegedly threatening an unidentified voice actress online. A man disrupted a Chō Jigen Game Neptune The Animation (Hyperdimension Neptunia the Animation) event last June by going on stage with a knife.
