Singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is contributing her new song "Family Party" as the theme song for Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Gachinko! Gyakushū no Robo Tō-chan (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Fight! Robo-Dad's Counterattack), this year's Crayon Shin-chan film. Although Kyary Pamyu Pamyu sang the song that the Crayon Shin-chan television anime has been using as its opening theme since October 2012, but "Family Party" will be the singer's first theme song for any movie.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is a self-described huge Crayon Shin-chan fan who has all of the original manga volumes and catches the anime films as they come out. She said that she was incredibly thrilled to get a chance to sing another theme song for Shin-chan. She added that this heartwarming song with a theme of family is one that everyone will enjoy, from kids to moms and dads.

In the kindergartner "Shin-chan's" 22nd movie, his father goes for a massage to fix his sprained back. However, he returns home as a robot, "with a snort more powerful than an electric fan!" The anime will feature the film series' first "battle of dads."

Narrator: In the year 2014, the "father revolution" breaks out throughout the land. In these troubled times, this man will rise.

Shinnosuke "Shin-chan" Nohara: Robo Dad!

Robo Dad: Shinosuke! Let's combine!

Robo Dad: I will protect my family!

Shinosuke: Beep

Actress Emi Takei (live-action Rurouni Kenshin's Kaoru) will guest star in the film in her first voice-acting role. Takei will play Teruyo Dandanbara, a police woman who causes trouble at the station with her eagerness to become a detective. Entertainment celebrity Crocket will guest-star as Hakase Gamma, a world-famous robotics expert. This is Crocket's second time playing a character in a Shin-chan film.

Wataru Takahashi, a unit director of several previous Crayon Shin-chan films, is helming this new film. Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill) wrote the screenplay.Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Gachinko! Gyakushū no Robo Tō-chan will open on April 19, and the CD single for the theme song will go on sale on April 16.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu not only sings for Crayon Shin-chan, but she also played herself in a guest voice role in the television anime last year.
