Sailor Moon's Sato, anohana's Okada, Macross' Kawamori Make M3 ~Sono Kuroki Hagane~ Anime

Director, writer, mecha designer named for Satelight's April TV anime

The official teaser website for M3 - Sono Kuroki Hagane (M3: That Black Steel), a new television anime that is premiering in April, opened on Thursday.

Junichi Satō (Sailor Moon, Kaleido Star, Aria franchise) is directing the project at the studio Satelight (Macross Frontier, Bodacious Space Pirates), and Mari Okada (anohana, Nagi no Asukara) is in charge of the scripts. Shōji Kawamori (Macross franchise, Cyber Formula franchise) is working on the mecha designs.

Update: Sato, Kawamori, and Satelight collaborated on a robot manga called Mortal Metal Shibagane in 2011.
