Late Novelist Project Itoh Gets Noitamina Film Project in 2015

Fuji TV announced during its Noitamina Line Up 2014 event on Friday that the late science-fiction novelist Project Itoh is getting an anime film project in 2015. The project's official website is streaming a promotional video to explain the project's background.

His debut work in 2007, Genocidal Organ, left a strong impression, and his book two years later Harmony became his masterpiece. These two full-length novels are left as his testament.

He left this world, but he left behind his stories (Projects). Are they blessings, or curses?

Since he decided on his pen name, perhaps his life as an author itself was all a "project." And so about five years later, the continuation of his "Project" is starting.

Project Itoh released Genocidal Organ as his debut novel in 2007. The Japanese film website Cinema Today reported in 2012 that film adaptation rights were being pitched in Hollywood. The story follows American intelligence agent Clavis Shepard as he tracks supposed mastermind terrorist John Paul in a future world wrought with chaos and violence.

The author's final novel, Harmony, was released in Japan in 2008. Project Itoh wrote Harmony and the novel adaptation of Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots while he was being treated for the cancer that ultimately took his life in 2009.
